About Me & Tales of Passport

Hello travelers!

I’m Aditi— a mom, a wife, a storyteller, and a passionate traveler who believes that life isn’t meant to be lived in one place. Over the past decade, I’ve journeyed through approx. 30 countries across Europe, Asia, and the Middle East, sometimes with my family, often solo, always chasing stories that stir the soul.

Tales of Passport is a travel blog born from courage, curiosity, and the quiet rebellion of a woman who didn’t let stereotypes define her. This space is for every woman who has ever hesitated to put herself first, for every parent who dreams of showing the world to their child, and for every traveler at heart who’s still deciding to take that first step.

🌍 Travel Resume Highlights

A decade of travel, driven by passion and practicality:

🧳 Solo Adventures

  • First solo trip as a wife (in 2016) to Chiang Mai, Thailand.

  • First solo trip as a mom (when my daughter was 1) to Dubai.

  • Braved sub-zero winters in Finnish Lapland, Norway, and Iceland, chasing the Northern Lights on my own.

  • Explored the off-beat side of Eastern Europe (Poland, Slovakia, Czech Republic and Hungary).

  • Completed day-hikes for 2 weeks in Dolomites, Italy and witnessed jaw-dropping landscapes all using public transport.

  • Spent 2 weeks in Russia (pre-war) and came back with mixed feelings.

  • Marveled at the amazing colors of autumn in South Korea & went crazy with shopping.

  • Took my first solo trip in India to Tirthan valley and Manali in 2021.

  • Explored fjords of Norway with midnight sun all via public transport.

  • Learned to travel light and live smart- adjusting plans solo, and finding community wherever I go.

👨‍👩‍👧 Family & Couple Travel

  • Traveled across Wales and England for 2 weeks on a road trip with our then 5-month old daughter.

  • Took our daughter on a challenging yet exhilarating hike through Wadi Shab in Oman -- crossing rivers, climbing rocks, and swimming through emerald pools.

  • Camped in the Wahiba Sands desert and explored Oman’s stunning Hajar Mountains, showing our daughter the raw power of nature.

  • Soaked in the warm, slow life of Langkawi’s beaches, followed by Kuala Lumpur’s vibrant city life—from immersive zoo experiences to aquarium that she still remembers.

  • Created magical memories as a couple in Ireland (for honeymoon), Germany, Austria and UK, exploring cities and countryside.

  • Multiple staycations in India at unique and offbeat places.

  • Balanced comfort and culture—choosing stays that work for our daughter and still let the explorer in us thrive.
